Housekeeping - On time

We had a little trouble on this last results post because I didn't check the final time stamp on the header entries, usually I do, but I just missed it for some reason. I apologize for my blunder, but I am only human and can't catch everything all the time. I know I will be far better about it in the future though!

But this brings up an interesting point. How late is too late to enter a challenge?

Well from now on any time AFTER the posted due date time is too late.. even five minutes is too late. We want no room for argument on this. Too late is too late and your entry will be disqualified from the challenge.

Here is the final decision for points for the header challenge blunder. The person in question had placed in the winners. Since there was no FIRM rule about going over time in place we (Kim and I) didn't feel it was fair to take all of her points away entirely. I removed her winners place but kept her entry points. I am sorry if some of you don't agree, but imagine if it were happening to you.

So in the future too late is too late! Make sure you get your stuff in on time! :D

I think it's a fair decision for everyone.

How does that work with timezones? When I look at comments I see the time that it is in their timezone. Can you change it so that you can see all the comments in the same timezone and if not does that mean you're giving people in different timezones less time than others (so for instance if there were two people just accross the international date line from each other one would have 23 hours longer than the other).

/nosy interloper is nosy. :)

I don't know. Wouldn't we need everyone in the community to change their timezone to the same timezone for it to work?
